My Dream Is To Fly Over The Rainbow

An easy song full of rhythm. A typical song for the disco in the summer, combining Caribbean and Europop elements with non-specific, optimistic lyrics about rainbows and the like. Just be careful with this sentence \"Don't falling down again\". What the h*** is that suppose to be
This song has no particular meaning apart from what he says all the time: his dream is to fly very high, over the rainbow, towards the sky. If we want to suppose there's a deeper meaning under these lyrics, then we can guess this is a metaphor, and what he wants is to get more free, or more famous, or more successful in whatever he really wants to guess. Not much more to say.
Composer Harold Arlen and lyricist Yip Harburg often worked in tandem, Harburg generally suggesting an idea or title for Arlen to set to music, before Harburg contributed the lyrics.[3] For their work together on The Wizard of Oz, Harburg claimed his inspiration was \"a ballad for a little girl who... was in trouble and... wanted to get away from... Kansas. A dry, arid, colorless place. She had never seen anything colorful in her life except the rainbow\". Arlen decided the idea needed \"a melody with a long broad line\".[4]
The film version of \"Over the Rainbow\" was unavailable to the public until the soundtrack was released by MGM in 1956 to coincide with the television premiere of The Wizard of Oz.[10] The soundtrack version has been re-released several times over the years, including a deluxe edition by Rhino in 1995.[11]
After The Wizard of Oz appeared in 1939, \"Over the Rainbow\" became Garland's signature song. She performed it for thirty years and sang it as she had for the film. She said she wanted to remain true to the character of Dorothy and to the message of being somewhere over the rainbow.[12]
Bertosa said, \"And in walks the largest human being I had seen in my life. Israel was probably like 500 pounds. And the first thing at hand is to find something for him to sit on.\" A security guard gave Israel a large steel chair. \"Then I put up some microphones, do a quick sound check, roll tape, and the first thing he does is 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow.' He played and sang, one take, and it was over.\"[24]
Kamakawiwoʻole's version reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot Digital Tracks chart during the week of January 31, 2004 (for the survey week ending January 18, 2004).[25] In the U.S., it was certified Platinum for 1,000,000 downloads sold.[26] As of October 2014 it had sold over 4.2 million digital copies.[27]
In the UK his version was released as a single under the title \"Somewhere Over the Rainbow\". It entered the UK Official Singles Chart in April 2007 at number 68. In Germany, the single also returned to the German Singles Chart in September 2010. After two weeks on that chart, it received gold status for selling 150,000 copies.[28] In October 2010, it reached number one on the German charts. In 2011 was certified 5 gold for selling over 750,000 copies.[28] It stayed at the top spot for twelve non-consecutive weeks and was the most successful single in Germany in 2010.[29] In March 2010 it was the second best-selling download in Germany with digital sales between 500,000 and 600,000.[30][31] In France, it debuted at number four in December 2010 and reached number one.[32] In Switzerland, it received Platinum status for 30,000 copies sold.[33]
On 3 December 2001, the British singer Cliff Richard recorded a cover of the mashup \"Somewhere Over the Rainbow\"/\"What a Wonderful World\" on his album Wanted. At the time of release the official website for the album explained that it consisted of \"hits Cliff's always 'Wanted' to record.\"[50] The album is primarily made up of cover songs, including songs by artists such as Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Carole King and Tina Turner. The inspiration for the album came when Richard was sent a copy of Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's recording of \"Over the Rainbow\" combined with \"What a Wonderful World\" weeks into the year 2000 and he knew immediately he wanted to record it.[51]
Danielle Hope, the winner of the BBC talent show Over the Rainbow, released a cover version of the song as a digital download on May 23, 2010, and a single on May 31, 2010.[53] As it was recorded before a winner was announced, runners-up Lauren Samuels and Sophie Evans also recorded versions.[53]
Thanks all I did was catch her. We are getting more of these bigger fish in NW Montana and I am glad about that. Catching these big fish is really a passion for me and I always release them. I am not a \"fly only snob\" but prefer to fish with my fly rod. As far as the fly only water we have not gotten to that level here yet but some of the waters have restrictions such as barbless hooks and one fly etc. I too like eating trout but frankly a smaller 10-12 inch trout tastes a LOT better than these big ones. I will occassionally keep a few to eat when I fish in the mountian lakes. Many times these lakes are so over populated that keeping a few to eat does the other ones a favor. I have heard about the fishing at Strawbery and would like to make a trip down there to fish.
The keep or release part, that is. I typically release trout I catch with a fly but 11 lbs would be kinda tempting. I have caught a few non-native 25-30 lb salmon in my life -- they're meant for chowin' down. My biggest rainbow was a hatchery raised 3.5 pounder, I hooked and released a decent wild 2 lb brookie once and I have never had a steelhead up to my hands--have hooked and lost a couple. That is my dream fish.
The current situation is that we are grounded due to poor visibility from fog and a storm that is inbound. While getting some fresh air after returning from the hangar, I had the opportunity to observe a rare phenomena called a fog bow or a white rainbow. Because the drop size of the fog is much smaller than rain (typically < 0.05 mm), the bright colors of a traditional rainbow are not observed. The light is diffracted rather than refracted as with a rainbow. The fog bow is observed at the antisolar point much like a rainbow. The lack of color is due to smearing of the colors from diffraction, although a reddish tint can be seen on the outer rim and a blueish tint on the inner.
The amount of multisourcing that will surround this online marriage exhibit is a little queer itself. California and national media outlets will be sharing and storing the photos on a blog based out of Indiana. Our Editorial Team will be watching over the site and making sure everything runs smoothly from our home offices in Indiana, Arizona, Florida, Washington DC, and France.
2. Um, on Sunday I saw a flock (a flock is that the word) of seagulls flying over the grocery store parking lot. It was like 30 degrees. No ocean or lake around. I thought I might be hallucinating in my sleep deprived state. How Why How
OMG please make migas and let us know how it was!!! I saw a recipe once, salivated over it, but never made it. Then I was in Miami and saw it on the menu and of course had to try it. It was amazing. Maybe if you come up with a recipe I would be motivated enough to make it Like you have nothing else to do.
The chief now invited us to go and reside with him at Rabbit River; and, in February, we did so, after having traveled three days. During these three days, however, we had often to shovel away the snow, build a fire, and spread the bedding without any tent over it. We awoke one morning, and found the snow two inches deep on the bed clothes. We built a large fire, by which we warmed ourselves and boiled some coffee. Our bread was frozen; but we thawed it, and made a meal. When this was over, off we started. By the way, I ought to have mentioned that I had a poney for Mrs. Copway and her sister, on which they could ride. Through the winter he lived on rushes, and browsed like a deer. The poor fellow had to give out, about two miles before we reached Rabbit River; Mrs. Copway, therefore, had to walk this distance on the ice, which greatly fatigued her. On Saturday night quite late, we arrived at the shanty of Chief Hole-in-the-sky. In all our journeyings Mrs. C. was always ready and willing to endure every hardship. She never murmured nor appeared discontented. This often encouraged me, and afforded us much relief. I record with gratitude, that God enabled her and her sister to bear up under the severest trials and hardships. We could have no earthly gain in view; the grace of God alone, therefore, supported us by day and by night, in sickness, in perils, in storms, in fatigues, in despondency, and in solitary places. At Rabbit River we labored with considerable success; but on account of the war raging between the Sioux and the Ojebwas, these two missions, with that at Ottawa Lake, had to be abandoned.
The attempt to combine a system of pupilage with the settlement of these people in civilized parts of the country, leads only to embarrassment to the Government, expense to the Crown, a waste of the resources of the Province, and an injury to the Indians themselves. Thus circumstanced, the Indian loses all the good qualities of his wild state, and acquires nothing but the vices of civilization. He does not become a good settler, he does not become an agriculturist or a mechanic. He does become a drunkard and a debauchee, and his females and family follow the same course. He occupies valuable land, unprofitably to himself and injuriously to the country. He gives infinite trouble to the Government, and adds nothing either to the wealth, the industry, or the defence of the Province. 59ce067264
